Scope

This policy applies to champography.com and pages that link to it. It does not govern third-party websites, map providers, source documents, or services reached through an external link.

Information Champography receives

Information you provide

If you email Champography, the message may include your name, email address, organization, correction evidence, and any other information you choose to provide. Do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the request.

Technical request information

Hosting, security, and delivery providers may process request data such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referring page, timestamps, and security signals. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and understand aggregate performance.

Interactive map and timeline

The timeline selection is encoded in the page URL so a view can be shared. Champography does not request your device's precise location. Map tiles and style resources may be requested from the configured map provider when the map approaches the viewport.

Current cookies, analytics, and advertising status

As of the date above, Champography does not operate user accounts, install a first-party analytics product, or serve programmatic advertising. The application itself does not require non-essential cookies for the historical explorer.

If analytics or advertising is enabled later, the applicable provider, purpose, identifiers, consent controls, and opt-out methods will be disclosed before or when those technologies are activated. The Cookie Policy provides the current service-by-service status.

Future Google advertising disclosure

If Google AdSense is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google's advertising cookies may support personalized ads based on visits to this and other websites, subject to consent and regional settings. Visitors can manage Google ad personalization through Google's ad controls. Champography will implement the required consent-management process before serving personalized advertising in jurisdictions where prior consent is required.

How information is used

  • to deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website;
  • to answer contact, privacy, legal, and correction requests;
  • to investigate abuse or protect the site and its users;
  • to evaluate aggregate usage and performance if a disclosed analytics service is enabled;
  • to serve and measure advertising if a disclosed advertising service is enabled;
  • to comply with legal obligations and enforce site terms.

Service providers

Champography may use service providers for domain registration, content delivery, security, source-code hosting, deployment, email routing, map tiles, and—if enabled—analytics or advertising. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

The production architecture is designed around Cloudflare-hosted static delivery. Cloudflare may process end-user request information as part of providing network, security, and delivery services. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Sharing and sale

Champography does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers acting for the site, when required by law, to protect rights or security, in a business transfer, or with your direction or consent. Advertising-related disclosures will be updated if an ad provider is enabled.

Retention

Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain a correction record, resolve a dispute, or satisfy legal obligations. Infrastructure logs are retained according to the applicable provider settings and operational needs. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained longer.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. Requests can be sent to privacy@champography.com. Identity and jurisdiction may need to be verified before a request is completed.

Children

Champography is a general-audience sports-data site and is not directed to children under 13. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact the privacy address above.

Security and international processing

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect the site and received information, but no Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than the visitor's own, subject to their legal and contractual safeguards.

Changes and contact

This policy may change as Champography adds services, providers, or legal requirements. The updated date will change when a material revision is published. Privacy questions and requests should be sent to privacy@champography.com.
